After the renovation

Location : Calle Beruti, Alto Palermo, Buenos Aires

This three bedroom 90 sq metre penthouse apartment on the 15th floor of a 40 year old building adjacent to popular Alto Palermo shopping centre, had been renovated in the 1970´s by the original owners in a spanish casa-style with archways, heavy dark wood features and ceramic floor tiles.

Starting again, we completely changed the distribution of space, removing the arches, closing a section of the balcony to incorporate the space within the living room, replacing all the windows with new modern aluminium enclosures, and totally renovating the kitchen and bathrooms. In the end there was nothing original left from the apartment we first purchased.

Sold to an investor, this apartment now rents out constantly to tourists.
